This month we had two new meetups at the Chinese tea house. One of them was all about dumplings and the other was showing off our Christmas crafts and handmade products.
Food is a great way to discover a culture and to connect with it, and for some it was their first time to try the Chinese dumpling or maybe to eat with the chopsticks. Dumpling comes in two versions one with meat and another vegetarian. We must state though that the vegetarian version was more tasty, it is not a personal opinion but what everyone agreed on.
Some people are asking why some of our meetups are titled with Bla Bla Bla. It is exactly what we do when we meet, we chat about random topics that’s why it is Bla Bla, you never know what we will talk about, it is always different and depends on the attendees interests and personalities.
As Christmas was approaching so quickly we thought to connect people who made handy crafty products with people who wants to buy gifts for the Christmas. The meetup was totally free and maybe that’s why 5 crafty people canceled at the last minute. Still we had Hatice from Turkey who shared with hand made accessories, 3D printing figures made by her daughter. We also had Jasna and Brigita who shared with their unique Christmas tree Ornaments made with lots of patience and love. They also shared with handmade bags and wallets. On the other hand Theresa shared with handmade Christmas cards and tags. We also had Marko who joined the meetup as a guest. Few rounds of Chinese tea, combined with more dumpling and the group started to connect on a deeper level sharing their life stories, emotions and feelings.
At the end it turned into a crafts swap meetup and Christmas gifts were exchanged between the attendees in a loving and warm atmosphere.
