As an expat and English speaker you face a challenge when it comes to English speaking activities in Zagreb. Here we will introduce you to “My stage” Program at the international Arts center and their English speaking acting courses.
It can never be too late as there are courses available for all ages and it forms 3 groups for children, Young actors and adults. The classes are every Saturday so you can have this beside your job, school or your busy schedule.
The courses topics works on voice and body performance, building characters and improvisation.
You may also need to know that many production companies prefers shooting in Zagreb for the scenery and low production costs, and you will find calls for auditions asking for different ethnicities, so this will be a good chance for you to apply what you learnt in the courses if you want to experience the real acting atmosphere. And who knows where this can take you.
As for your children, acting will give them the chance to work in a team and be able to speak in public in a supportive environment. A skill they will need throughout their lives.
The classes are mainly practical and practicing different exercises makes it more enjoyable.
Some of the courses end with a public show which you will be preparing for during the classes, and this will be a real test for what you learnt.
